This is going to be a short one, I’m completely knackered, maybe because it was quite hot today. Yesterday – South Indian for lunch. Quite tasty though I preferred the other Indian food I have tried so far. It came packed in cute little newspaper packets though
In the evening “the big boss” took me out for dinner. We went to a really nice Asian restaurant near Koregaon Park (the area most expats live in). Seems like a really cool area to live in, lots of bars and restaurants. The whole place was buzzing. On the way there, I saw the best VIP parking sign ever – check out the gallery. The food was great, they had Asahi beer, which I love, and the dessert (walnut chocolate cake) was heavenly, but in retrospect I regret one choice – sitting outside. The small strip of skin that is exposed by my shoes has more than 20 mosquito bites on my right foot, and 8 on my left. They are itching like crazy. I suspect the mosquitoes had an even better dinner than I did. Bastards. May you be squashed against a car windshield soon.
The evening was very nice though, really enjoyed the good food and good conversation. Today was again fairly uneventful (sorry
). Lunch was Pizza from Papa John’s and I ordered pasta along so I could have it for dinner. Which I just ate, and it was heavenly… mmh. Funnily enough, the Arrabiata wasn’t spicy at all. I really am having cravings for home food, so the pasta really hit the spot. Mashed potatoes, how I miss you. And bread. And rolls. Crunchy, lovely rolls with cheese. Mmmh. I can’t wait to be back, as much as I am now enjoying myself over here. Not much longer though – last night in the apartment. Tomorrow after work I’ll be driven to Mumbai where I’ll get to spend two days sightseeing. Saturday I’ll go on a whole day tour of the city. Should be fun, really looking forward to that! I’ll be sure to take loads of pictures, promise.
- South Indian food in newspaper packets
- Parking only for Very, Very Important Persons
- The Mozzie Aftermath. This was before my standard allergic reaction to most of them started. I would not want to show you the current state.
- A new meter, plus the ubiquitous “Horn OK please” slogan on the truck.

Have a wonderful time sightseeing . It really has been delightful reading your daily account. you are a superb writer, we have detected a lot of North of England expressions, has this rubbed off from Karl.. Once again enjoy yourself, but stay safe. xxx
